
The location of the Rosenberg Cemetery is 1401 Ave D. Formerly known as Woodmen of the World ("W.O.W."), the Rosenberg Cemetery was established by Rosenberg Camp Number 535 and was conveyed to the City by deed dated February 4, 1937. On July 16, 1996, City Council approved Ordinance No. 96-17 changing the name of the W.O.W. Cemetery to the Rosenberg Cemetery. The names of the city's early settlers and leaders can be found among grave markers dating back to 1890.
The City is responsible for issuing interment/disinterment and monument permits for the Rosenberg Cemetery. The City does not own or sell any spaces/plots. Permit amounts are outlined in our Schedule of Fees and may be obtained at the Rosenberg City Hall Annex located at 2220 4th Street, Rosenberg, Texas 77471. Admission to the Rosenberg Cemetery is during the following times:
- November 1-February 29: Opens at 7:30 am and gates lock at 5:00 pm
- March 1-October 31: Opens at 7:30 am and gates lock at 8:00 pm
