The City of Rosenberg adopted a tax rate of $0.342364 per $100 valuation for tax year 2023 (fiscal year 2024). This tax rate will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations (M&O) than last year’s tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 10.7% and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $13.61.
The above language is required by the Texas Legislature and compares the M&O portion of the tax rates.
The overall tax rate for 2023 (fiscal year 2024) represents a tax rate decrease of $0.012636 or 3.56% from the previous year’s tax rate of $0.355.
